Matsuda Autumn/Winter 1996 collection, designed by Yukio Kobayashi following his succession of Mitsuhiro Matsuda. Shot by Nan Goldin over a weekend in and around her Bowery studio, with Kobayashi supplying a bag of Matsuda clothes for Goldin's own circle to wear. Goldin's introduction reads: "No more heroin chic with numbness — instead these pictures are about the revolution of androgyny, but lived with joy."
