Issey Miyake Permanente 1987/88
Issey Miyake Permanente was launched in 1985 as a new line designed to revive original shapes and fabrics used in previous collections.
The catalog is housed in a oversized cardboard folio, with a printed logo and circle cord tie to open/close the catalog. Inside is 7 individual plates wrapped in covers. Each plate features a range of people dressed in Permanente, along with a biography in both English and Japanese printed on the wrapper. This season included an artist, sociologists, designers, theatre designer, acupuncturist, and more. The wide selection was designed to have everyday people dressed in Permanente.
