Nan Goldin captured musical group Yellow Magic Orchestra (YMO) while they were in New York creating their 1993 album Technodon. After finding international success the Japanese electronic group broke up after 1984. Technodon was their last album and was released as a one off under "NOT YMO." This is why you see the YMO crossed off in the cover of this book as Nan Goldin captures them working on their final album.
