The inaugural issue of fashion and culture magazine Quarterly Dune, directed by legendary editor-in-chief Hayashi Fumihiro, was published in summer 1993. The publication would run until 2008, before relaunching in 2011. The first issue features Rie Miyazawa by Kei Ogata, and texts by Kenichi Yamakawa, Haruko Mizukami, Hiroshi Morinaga, and Shigeo Goto. Art direction is by Yasushi Fujimoto.
